New Author on SLC Blog

I am happy to announce that I have recruited one of my colleagues to be a co-author on my too-long-neglected SLC blog. Christinia Wehde-Roddiger, who worked as a teacher and fellow SLC Coordinator with me at our former campus, will begin writing posts and adding comments to my posts on the Adventures in SLC blog. Our focus in our writing on this particular blog will be our experiences with researching, planning, implementing, and evaluating the implementation of Smaller Learning Communities on one Houston high school campus.

Our goal is to document our experiences, our lessons learned, our success stories, and our suggestions for successful implementation of SLCs on large, comprehensive, inner-city high schools. We hope that other educators who are embarking on such a journey will find value in our stories.

Eventually we plan to edit all of the posts and combine them into a book which we plan to provide as a free .pdf download and as a printed & bound book for purchase at a low-cost.
